NoAIBills is built with privacy first. This policy explains how we handle your data—conversations stay on your device; we collect only what we need to keep the tool free.

Data Collection

NoAIBills collects minimal information to keep the tool free. We collect:

• Email Address: Required to verify your account and keep the tool free. We may use it to send important updates or request feedback.
• Usage Statistics (via GA4 Events): Anonymous usage statistics such as feature usage, frequency of use, and general usage patterns. This does NOT include your conversation content or personal data.
• Feedback: When we prompt you, you may choose to share feedback to help improve the tool.

What we do NOT collect:

• No conversation history or content is stored or transmitted
• No personal information beyond your email address
• No browsing history or website data
• No model usage patterns or preferences that reveal your conversations

All your conversations, settings, and AI interactions remain entirely on your device. We have no way to access or view your conversation content because it never leaves your browser.

Data Processing: Local Only

All AI processing occurs entirely in your browser using WebGPU technology. This means:

• Local Execution: AI models run directly on your device's GPU
• No Cloud Servers: Zero dependency on external servers for AI inference
• Offline Capable: Once models are downloaded, you can use the extension completely offline
• WebGPU Powered: Direct GPU access for optimal local performance

Your conversations are processed in real-time on your device. Nothing is sent to cloud servers, API endpoints, or any external processing services.

Third-Party Data Sharing

NoAIBills shares minimal data with trusted third-party services:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We use GA4 to collect anonymous usage statistics (not your conversation data). This includes general usage patterns, feature usage, and frequency of use. GA4 Events do not include your conversation content, personal information, or any identifiable data from your chats.

We do NOT use:

• Payment processing services
• Advertising networks
• Data brokers
• Marketing platforms (beyond occasional email updates)
• Any other third-party data services

Your email address is stored securely and is not shared with third parties except as necessary for account verification and occasional communication.

User Control: Complete

You have complete control over your data:

• Local Storage: All data is stored locally in your browser
• Model Management: You can download, delete, or manage AI models at any time
• Conversation History: Your conversations are stored locally and can be cleared anytime
• No Remote Backup: We don't back up your data anywhere, so you maintain full control
• Extension Removal: Uninstalling the extension removes all local data

Extension Permissions

NoAIBills requests the following permissions, all of which are used solely for the extension's functionality:

Remote Code and Analytics

NoAIBills loads remote code from specific trusted domains for essential functionality:

• Netlify (https://*.netlify.app): Extension UI hosting only. No user data is processed or stored.
• Google Analytics 4 (https://*.google-analytics.com, https://*.googletagmanager.com): Used to collect anonymous usage statistics via GA4 Events. Only general usage patterns are tracked—no conversation content or personal data is collected.

All remote code serves specific functions and does not involve AI processing or user data handling. All AI models run entirely locally in your browser.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device:

• Your data is protected by your browser's security model
• No network transmission means no interception risk
• No server-side storage means no data breach risk from our side
• You control all security through your device and browser settings

Children's Privacy

NoAIBills does not knowingly collect information from children. Since we don't collect any data from anyone, this is inherently protected. All processing happens locally on the user's device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we don't collect data, policy changes primarily reflect feature additions or clarifications.
